Job summary

Friends of Switchpoint Inc in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a part-time Resident Support Staff member for the 2pm–10pm swing shift. You will provide compassionate support, assist with client admissions, promote a welcoming environment, coordinate daily activities, and help residents access resources to move toward stability and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

  • Understand and implement Switchpoint’s mission and values and adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests of the facility
  • Keep a daily log of all occurrences within the facility for each shift
  • Coordinate with management to address residents’ special needs (diet ADA accommodations etc.) and ensure those needs are met

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement Switchpoint’s mission and values and adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests of the facility
  • Keep a daily log of all occurrences within the facility for each shift
  • Make notes of any special requirements and needs that residents may have and coordinate with management to fulfill those needs
  • Update maintenance log with maintenance requests
  • Arrange transportation for residents in shuttle vans
  • Actively listen to the needs of the residents and act to meet those needs appropriately
  • Report any resident concerns to case management and management
  • Simple cleaning (public bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, etc.)
  • Assist with convenience store transactions
  • Monitor cameras and log activity
  • Complete perimeter checks around the building and walk-throughs to ensure safety and security
  • Handle security issues/complaints by involving non-emergency dispatch or 911 if needed

PURPOSE:

Join Switchpoint as a Resident Support Staff member and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals, families, and veterans experiencing homelessness. In this hands-on role, you'll provide compassionate support, assist with client admissions, promote a safe and welcoming environment, coordinate daily activities, and help residents access the resources they need to succeed. Requirements

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests of the facility
  • Keep a daily log of all occurrences within the facility for each shift
  • Make notes of any special requirements and needs that residents may have (special diets, ADA accommodations, etc.) And coordinate with management to facilitate those needs.
  • Update maintenance log with maintenance requests
  • Arrange transportation for residents in shuttle vans

Full-Time Employee Benefits:

Compensation:

Starting: $19/hour
