Resident Services Technician I - La Maison (Education)

Essential Functions

1. Maintain the physical integrity of the community to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
2. Regularly detail the community to enhance curb appeal, including litter pickup, shrub care, snow removal, sidewalk cleaning, pool maintenance, and reporting unsafe conditions.
3. Assist with maintenance requests and make-ready tasks such as painting and trash removal from vacant units.
4. Help keep storage areas and the maintenance shop clean and organized.
5. Follow safety procedures established by governmental agencies like OSHA.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
7. Apply logical thinking to practical situations and follow standardized procedures, with the ability to adapt when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a porter or groundskeeper preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and stay organized.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call hours.

Physical Requirements

Constantly on feet (66-100%) performing activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, climbing stairs and ladders, grasping, and lifting. Ability to lift weights up to 150 pounds with assistance, with specific weights for different tasks. Regularly perform routine maintenance, debris pickup, and equipment handling.

Vision, Hearing, and Speaking Requirements

• Constant need to observe and read instructions.
• Frequent need to see clearly beyond arm's reach.
• Frequent need to receive instructions; written instructions are acceptable.
• Constant need to communicate verbally with staff and residents.

Working Environment

• Primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
