Job summary

Island Palm Communities is hiring a Resident Services Specialist to coordinate resident requests, manage move-ins/outs, and maintain community standards. You will support leasing activities, conduct tours, and foster strong resident relations in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years in property management, and familiarity with YARDI or similar software. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Property management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with YARDI or similar software preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct move-out assessments and determine charges for damages.
  • Administer move-in paperwork and home inspections.
  • Answer resident questions and resolve complaints with prompt, courteous service.
  • Monitor curb appeal and maintain cleanliness of office, amenities, models, and common areas.
  • Assist in inspecting vacant homes and preparing them for rent-ready status.
  • Organize and execute company-sponsored resident events and programs.
  • Provide administrative support at the community center.
  • Develop and maintain resident relations and CRM requirements for the Resident Journey program.
  • Conduct neighborhood tours and show homes to qualified prospects; may sign leases.
  • Mentor, assist with event planning, and support GOQ coordination as needed.

The Resident Services Specialist is responsible to assist and coordinate all requests from military families with the property management team including move ins, move outs, inquiries, community standards enforcements. Responsible to maintain curb appeal and coordinate community activities. The Resident Services Specialist has an additional specialized job duty which may include mentoring, event planning, additional customer care duties or other specialized duties.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct move out assessments with departing residents and assess any charge for damages
  • Administer move-in paperwork and home inspections with residents
  • Answer resident questions and assists in resolving resident complaints. Provide high standard of customer service to residents through a prompt and courteous response to all inquiries
  • Responsible for monitoring curb appeal throughout the community and office and maintaining the cleanliness, housekeeping and general appearance of the office, amenities, models and common areas of the property including trash pick up and enforcing community standards
  • Assist in the inspections of vacant homes and takes appropriate action to prepare the for rent-ready status
  • Actively participate in organization and execution of company-sponsored resident events including social events, educational classes and community programs
  • Provide administrative support at the community center
  • Develop and maintain strong resident relations. Responsible for completing customer relationship management requirements for the Resident Journey program
  • Leasing homes in a community: Conduct neighborhood tours and home showings for qualified potential residents. Maintain a fundamental working knowledge of all lease documentation and resident guide policies and procedures. May execute lease signing
  • An additional specialized job duty which may include mentoring, event planning, additional customer care duties, GOQ coordination or other specialized duties
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or other related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years required work-related experience
  • Property management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in YARDI or other similar industry software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks
  • Must have a current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
  • Experience with computer systems required, which include web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing with internal and external customers, able to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with organization staff, clients and visitors
