Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a full-time Events and Ministry Coordinator to execute community service plans by organizing events in Stone Mountain, GA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in event planning and enjoy helping residents. Responsibilities include developing programming for local residents and collaborating with community partners. This role requires excellent communication skills, some weekend and evening availability, and the ability to carry out community-focused activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with partners to create programs that fit community needs.
• Organize and host educational workshops for adults and youth.
• Meet with residents to provide support and connect them with resources.
• Ensure all activities run smoothly.
• Communication with onsite staff and submission of monthly reports.

Skills

Excellent listening/communication skills

Basic computer skills

Ability to provide after-hours activities

Bilingual Spanish preferred

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
