Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a full-time Events and Ministry Coordinator to execute community service plans by organizing events in Stone Mountain, GA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in event planning and enjoy helping residents. Responsibilities include developing programming for local residents and collaborating with community partners. Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with partners to create programs that fit community needs.
  • Organize and host educational workshops for adults and youth.
  • Meet with residents to provide support and connect them with resources.
  • Ensure all activities run smoothly.
  • Communication with onsite staff and submission of monthly reports.

Skills

Excellent listening/communication skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to provide after-hours activities
Bilingual Spanish preferred

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
