Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Living in Huntingdon, PA, seeks a Part-time Resident Service Coordinator to coordinate on-site supportive services and help residents access resources to maintain independence.

Educate residents on resources, assist with orientation, and help plan social events while partnering with local agencies to advocate for residents' needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred or applicable experience.
  • Minimum two years’ work experience with older adults preferred.
  • Knowledge of casework process through experience or academics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Community Manager to identify resident needs and secure resources.
  • Educate residents on community resources, guidelines and limitations.
  • Support orientation processes and materials for new residents.
  • Assist Resident Association with planning and publicizing social events.
  • Network with local social service agencies to build partnerships.
  • Advocate and liaison for residents with management and community agencies.
  • Identify services for residents needing higher levels of care.
  • Assist residents in developing informal support networks.

Part-time Day
Compensation from $20-$22/hour (experience based)

The ResidentService Coordinator is responsible for coordinating on-site supportive services in order to provide access to available services, allowing residents to maintain their independence. Position also facilitates residents’ participation in programs that enhance their physical and mental well-being.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services or related field preferred or applicable experience
  • Minimum two years’ work experience in related position working with older adults preferred
  • Knowledge of casework process through work experience or academics required
  • Prior experience with aging services network and familiarity with other human service systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions
  • Ability to effectively interact with community residents
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
