Lifespace Communities in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a Safety and Security Officer to join Abbey Delray South on a part-time basis. You will perform rounds, monitor life safety systems, log drills, and manage access to keep residents, visitors and staff secure.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2–3 years related security experience, and a valid Florida driver's license. This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to contribute to a mission-driven team serving older adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two to three years applicable security experience.
• A state issued driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled rounds inside and outside to maintain a secure environment.
• Schedule and conduct all fire and disaster drills with detailed logs.
• Maintain security records and ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergencies and notify relevant team members.
• Have working knowledge of life safety systems.
• Maintain daily shift reports with clear explanations of incidents.
• Control access for guests, residents, staff, and vendors with proper identification.
• Perform light maintenance as needed (e.g., bulbs, toilets).
• Transport residents/staff on/off property as required.
• Deliver packages and distribute in-house mail.
• Greet residents/guests, assist with luggage and vehicle parking.
