Lifespace Communities, Inc. is seeking a part-time Safety and Security Officer for Abbey Delray South in Delray Beach, FL. The role involves patrolling the community to maintain a secure environment, coordinating fire and disaster drills, and maintaining detailed security records.

• Two to three years applicable security experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Background screening through Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled rounds inside and outside of the building to maintain a secure environment.
• Schedule and ensure that all fire and disaster drills are conducted for each shift and accurate detailed logs are kept.
• Maintain security records, including safety inspections, repair needs of equipment, unusual circumstances, and service requests; ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
• Respond to all fire alarms and emergency calls and notify appropriate team members as necessary.
• Have a good working knowledge of all life safety systems.
• Maintain daily guard report of shift with detailed explanations of occurrences and ensure information sharing between shifts is accurate.
• Manage entrances and exits, verify identification of guests, team members, residents, and vendors.
• Perform light maintenance as needed, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging toilets/drains.
• Transport residents or team members on/off the property as needed.
• Deliver packages to residents and distribute in-house mail.
• Greet residents and guests, assist with luggage and packages, and park/retrieve resident vehicles.

This is a Part Time Position!

A Few Details About The Role

• Greet residents and guests, assist with luggage, and packages and parks and retrieves resident vehicles.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years applicable experience.
• A state issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
