Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory's Pathway Forward Program in Chicago seeks a Correctional Monitor to oversee safety, resident movement, and facility discipline under the Shift Supervisor. This role ensures orderly operations and supports reentry services within a secure environment.

You will assist with intake, PREA assessments, GPS monitoring, medication administration, and communication with residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in security/corrections or social services preferred.
• Ability to defuse potential violence and maintain composure in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident movement in and out of the facility and maintain documentation.
• Conduct visual headcounts and home confinement checks.
• Assist with room searches, pat downs, and handling of contraband; issue discipline notifications.
