Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is recruiting a Human Services Provider Program Coordinator II (Area Support QIDP) to oversee resident rights and quality initiatives across residential and habilitative services at the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.

You will investigate rights infringements with advocacy, identify system-wide improvements, and monitor processes to ensure safety and compliance for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Morganton,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Two years of experience providing professional or direct services in a setting that serves individuals with disabilities.
• Working knowledge of active treatment programs and their implementation procedures.
• Working knowledge of person-centered planning process.
• Ability to perform behavior intervention techniques.
• Working knowledge of up-to-date best practice in health, mental health care practices, and support for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality oversight related to resident rights and implementation of quality initiatives across residential and habilitative services.
• Investigate alleged rights infringements with advocacy as defined by policy; address safety concerns.
• Proactively identify systematic areas for quality improvement and monitor implemented processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with policies and best practices.
• Serve as a point of contact for addressing concerns and ensuring rights protections for residents.
