Job summary

The Oaks of LA in Shreveport, LA is seeking an Administration professional for full-time day shifts to plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate programs for residents in Independent Living. The role involves coordination with volunteers and ensuring safety and well-being of residents.

Key duties include coordinating with the IL Director to review resident programs, managing a volunteer pool, and ensuring timely follow-ups with guests and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
• Must possess excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must be flexible regarding hours and duties to be performed.
• Must be willing to work some holidays and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with The Independent Living Director to review and evaluate resident programs at the Garden Apartments.
• Maintains and coordinates a volunteer resource pool for the Garden Apartments.
• Coordinates with the Relocation Coordinator regarding turnover of Garden Apartments and use of apartments and communal areas.
• Coordinates with IL Director and Activities staff to ensure guest speakers are contacted and thanked within 48–72 hours.
• Reviews GA monthly statements and reports errors to the billing coordinator.
