Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Diet Technician (DTR preferred) to support dietary services for residents. The role includes interviewing residents to capture food preferences and completing their Resident Food Profile, and updating tray card data accordingly.

Responsibilities also involve coordinating with the Dietician on nutrition issues and ensuring basic food safety and diet knowledge are applied in meal planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with little or no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Basic understanding of normal and therapeutic diets and food safety.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working with a licensed dietician preferred.
• DTR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview residents and obtain food preferences and complete Resident Food Profile.
• Update resident’s food preference into tray card data base.
• Refer residents to Dietician for any resident’s having nutritional or eating issues.
