Job summary

Oasis at the Keys Nursing and Rehab in the Florida Keys is seeking a Diet Technician to join the dietary department and ensure the nutritional well-being of residents by preparing and serving high-quality meals and snacks.

This full-time position requires 1 year of experience in food service, a high school diploma, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and excellent communication and customer service skills. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on resident care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage a food service department in a nursing home
• Plan, order and prepare menus
• Supervise the preparation and service of meals and snacks to residents
• Maintain accurate records of resident food preferences and dietary needs
• Conduct face to face assessments of resident's dietary needs and document in residents' clinical chart
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies
• Ensure a clean and safe food service environment by adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with our dietary team to provide exceptional resident satisfaction and care
