Job summary

Priority Management Group, LLC seeks an experienced Cook for a large-scale kitchen in Fort Worth, TX. You will prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes, and help with menu reviews and food safety practices.

Responsibilities include maintaining food quality, assisting with ordering and storage, and following state and federal codes. A high school diploma and prior long-term care cooking experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prepares meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Reviews menus and production guides to determine quantities.
• Follows safe food handling guidelines per policy and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes; consults supervisor for changes.
• Reviews menus, resident census and prep sheets to determine type and quantity of food.
• Prepares food safely following state and federal codes.
• Assists with food ordering, storage and preparation; serves meals on time.
• Maintains standards for food quality; uses substitutes when needed and follows recipes.
• Operates kitchen equipment and bakes/roasts/steams as required.
• Prepares and serves attractively with gravies, sauces and garnishes; tests for palatability.
• Monitors food temperatures prior to service and stores foods properly.
