Valley Health is hiring a Hospitality Associate, Patient Services to support patients and staff by delivering wholesome, attractive meals while maintaining strict sanitation. The role collaborates with floor staff and clinical teams to tailor meals to nutritional needs and diet restrictions.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and prior food service experience is advantageous. 16+ age, basic math, and strong communication are essential for success in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Must be 16 years of age.
• Ability to perform simple calculations and record keeping.
• Ability to interact hospitably and respectfully with hospitalized patients.
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with hospital staff to provide meals matching patient needs.
• Ensure patient information (name, room, diet, allergies) is correct.
• Assemble trays on-time according to diet cards and patient preferences.
• Deliver warm, garnished meals to the correct patient.
• Interact with patients to understand food preferences and feedback.
• Follow procedures for Late Trays within 30 minutes.
• Stock supplies and assist with kitchen prep and dishware handling.
• Label and date inventory items and monitor temperatures.
