Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Adult Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a full-time Resident Manager to uphold program standards and support beneficiaries’ recovery journey.

You will supervise operations, conduct orientations, lead house meetings, manage medication calls, respond to inquiries, and ensure safety and compliance in a residential setting. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a pension plan, and paid leave are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required to qualify for Salvation Army insurance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce house rules and maintain overall center security.
• Conduct new beneficiary orientations including facility tours.
• Lead weekly house meetings.
• Supervise medication calls and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to beneficiary inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and SafeFromHarm documentation.
• Conduct regular bed checks.
• Implement and coordinate leisure time activities.
• Provide safe transportation when needed.
• Assist in resolving beneficiary problems.
• Train and supervise work therapy assignments.
• Assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator.
• Administer drug and alcohol screening tests as required.
• Maintain daily reports and electronic data entries.
• Document program violations and incidents.
• Participate in professional development training.
• Support center policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure program compliance.

You'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity, philosophy, and standards of our effective rehabilitation program. This role is crucial in ensuring program compliance while supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey.

What You’ll Do

Program Management

What You Need

Required

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Previous managerial experience preferred

• Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Army insurance
