Job summary

Dematic Corp. in Fishkill, NY seeks an Electro-Mechanical Tech Level III to resolve faults, troubleshoot equipment, and lead maintenance on packaging conveyors, cranes, and AGV/AMR systems. You’ll work a night shift (4x10h) Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, with overtime possible.

This hands-on role involves mentoring junior staff and ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (an associate degree or technical training is a plus) and 2–3

• 2–3 years of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair MHE equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking and lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and document procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits with test equipment and close work orders in asset system.
• Respond to service calls and supervise spare parts from inventory.
• Develop positive relationships across all levels of the organization.

The Electro-Mechanical Tech Level III is responsible for the day-to-day fault resolution, equipment troubleshooting, preventative/predictive maintenance and systems operations. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. Acts as Senior Automation technician on shift for Pallet and Packaging conveyors, SRM Cranes, Dematic Multi-Shuttle, AGV and AMR. Also works on other ancillary equipment that is installed at our Fishkill location. Workdays consist of working (4) 10-hour days either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday. The shift is night shift working 6:00pm to 4:30am. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do In This RoleRepair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.Build and close work orders into the asset management system with detailed data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine the resources needed to resolve them.Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.Respond to service calls and address equipment failures and faults.Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them.Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.What We Are Looking ForHigh School diploma or equivalent experience required. An associate's degree or vocational technical training is advantageous. Niche skill training/certification preferred.2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.Ability to work in diverse conditions: small spaces, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, standing long hours on concrete, wet or uneven surfaces.Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.Competent in - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google G-Suite.Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.Join Dematic Corp. and thrive in a collaborative environment where your expertise will ensure our operations run efficiently.
