Job summary

Dematic in Ocala, FL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance on material handling equipment. This role supports the installation site with hands-on repairs and routine PM tasks.

The ideal candidate holds a HS diploma or equivalent, can lift up to 50 pounds, and is comfortable working on multiple shifts including overtime.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; vocational-technical training preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Good dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely.
• Stand/walk for 10–12 hours.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking and component adjustments/replacements.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and proper documentation.
• Create and close work orders with data on labor hours and parts used.
• Troubleshoot fundamental conveyance problems and resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Respond to semi-complex service calls and correct equipment faults.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across the organization.

Job description

Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. This worker acts as a junior-level material handling technician on all equipment installed at the (Ocala, FL) location.

Shift Schedule is Thursday-Saturday 06:00 am-6:30 pm & every other Wed. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be$26 to $30 an hourat the time of posting. Final compensation will bedeterminedbyvarious factorssuch as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What You Will DoInThis Role

• Identifyproblems as they occur and takeappropriate stepsto solve them.
• Develop andmaintainpositive working relationships across all levels of theorganization.

What We Are Looking For

• HS diploma or equivalent required. Typically,vocational-technical training ispreferred.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours,and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours asrequired.
