Job summary

Intersect Healthcare, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Laundry Aide to collect and sort soiled linen, load machines, fold clean linen, and distribute linens to residents while interacting professionally with residents, visitors, and team members.

This non-exempt position reports to the Environmental Services Manager and requires basic education, knowledge of laundry machines and cleaning solutions, and the ability to handle multiple loads per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous laundry experience in industrial or commercial setting beneficial

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled laundry and presoak as required.
• Load washers with appropriate cycles and water temperature; add cleaning chemicals.
• Dry and fold clean laundry for storage or distribution to linen carts.
• Deliver resident linens to rooms using linen carts; check items for repair or replacement.
• Follow Infection Control procedures for laundering isolation linens and clothing.
• Maintain the laundry area and equipment; attend staff meetings as required.
