Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking an Activity Director to design and oversee a comprehensive activity program that supports the physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of each resident. You will plan diverse activities, supervise Activity Aides, and ensure proper documentation of resident progress.

You will engage families and community partners to strengthen support for the activity department, while maintaining a focus on enriching residents’ daily lives and maintaining high quality standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a training course for Activity Directors.
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program in a nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities including group social activities, spiritual programs, creative/educational activities, and exercise activities.
• Oversight of Activity Aides.
• Review resident goals and progress notes; properly document MDS reports.
• Foster relationships with family members and community partners to support the Activity department.
