Arcadia Care is seeking an Activity Director to design and implement a dynamic program of activities that addresses residents’ interests and promotes physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing. You will lead activity planning and staff oversight in a care setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a targeted Activity Director training, and at least two years of experience in a social or recreational program within a nursing facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a training course for Activity Directors preferred.
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program in a nursing facility required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities including group social activities, spiritual programs, creative/educational activities, and exercise programs.
• Oversee Activity Aides and ensure quality support to residents.
• Review resident goals and progress notes; properly document MDS reports.
• Foster relationships with family members and community partners to support the Activity department.
