Job summary

Piper Shores seeks a compassionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to support the Life Enrichment Manager in planning, scheduling and running activities for active independent living residents. You will help manage events, coordinate publications and digital signage, and assist with transportation planning.

The role emphasizes a resident-centered approach, safe operations, and collaboration with LE team members. Strong MS Office skills and willingness to learn AV and publishing tools are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Solid knowledge of MS Office; willingness to learn desktop publishing software (InDesign, Express).
• Ability to research details for in-house programming and trips.
• Knowledge or ability to learn in-house AV equipment.
• Valid Maine driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Creativity and a sincere desire to work with seniors; courteous and helpful communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching and planning in-house events and inform residents of details.
• Program and maintain Piper Shores' in-house TV channel, Apps, and digital signage.
• Prepare publicity for activities using Uniguest services.
• Train staff in Uniguest services across departments.
• Assist in scheduling drivers for independent living residents and help with transportation.
• Maintain statistics of in-house programming and trips.
• Operate technology systems for events and common spaces.
• Serve as staff liaison for residents activities and Library committees.
• Prepare spaces for programs, including furniture, food, audio/visual, and cleanup.
• Ensure residents' respect, dignity, and independence during events.
• Book resident meeting rooms and lounges; lead special projects aligned with resident interests.
