Job summary

Dodge County is hiring a Part-Time Household Assistant to support residents in a care setting. The role involves guiding residents in activities, assisting with transportation, and helping with daily living activities.

This position offers pro-rated benefits and requires flexibility to work every third weekend and some evenings. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and comfort with HIPAA governing patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PPE and its proper use for personal safety measures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident care information per HIPAA.
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm in emergencies.
• Ability to work tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Strong verbal communication skills for resident interaction.

Responsibilities

• Guide residents to participate in activities and assist with workshops and sensory programs.
• Arrange transportation for outings and plan/schedule events for the IID household.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance and help with activities of daily living.
• Maintain resident care documentation and reports in MatrixCare.
• Support independence and assist during medical or facility emergencies.
• Complete shift reports and participate in care staffing meetings.
