Job summary

Vista-Springs-Livin in Michigan is seeking an activities coordinator to plan and implement engaging daily activities for residents. You will create calendars, update boards and help with special events, outings and birthdays while fostering relationships with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with residents, staff, customers one-on-one or in groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling and implementing quality activities.
• Create and maintain relationships with residents and their families.
• Prepare activity calendars and update activity/orientation boards.
• Assist with resident’s special events, outings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
• Work with volunteers and actively seek new volunteers.
• Encourage and motivate resident participation.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
