Vista Springs is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and lead engaging daily activities for residents in our geriatric care communities. You will create calendars, coordinate events and collaborate with volunteers to promote participation and well-being.

The role emphasizes safety, compassionate communication, and partnership with families. A high school diploma or GED is required; prior activity/recreation experience in elder care is preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prior work experience in activity/recreation field in geriatric care.
• Ability to read and write using Basic English skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with planning, scheduling and implementing quality activities.
• Create and maintain relationships with residents and their families.
• Prepare activity calendars and update activity/orientation boards.
• Assist with resident’s special events, outings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
• Work with volunteers and actively seek new volunteers.
• Encourage and motivate resident participation.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
