OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an Activity Director to plan, organize, and implement engaging activity programs for residents, addressing social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs as per the care plan.

The role focuses on delivering meaningful programming, documenting assessments, and coordinating with care teams to enhance resident well-being and participation in activities.

Competenze

• Accreditation as a Certified Activity Director is required.
• Completion of a state approved Activity Director training course is required.
• One-year experience as an Activity Director in long term care is preferred.
• Two years of social/recreational program experience in healthcare within five years.

Mansioni

• Develops and delivers activity and recreational programming for residents.
• Completes MDS activities and care plan documentation as required.
• Attends and participates in Resident Care Plan Meetings.
• Conducts admissions interviews and documents the activities section of MDS.
• Creates monthly calendars of activity programs and posts them.
• Identifies resident activity preferences and health-related participation factors.
• Develops individualized care plans based on needs and preferences.
• Implements strategies to increase resident involvement in activities.
• Plans community activities that involve staff, families, and residents.

Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area
