Job summary

Goldwater Care in Peoria Heights, IL seeks an activities assistant to support planning, implementing, and evaluating resident activity programs in a long-term care setting. You will work under supervision to ensure activities align with care plans and resident needs.

The role requires 18+ years of age, English proficiency, and ideally prior LTC Activities Department experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance and a 401k after 6 months of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs.
• Develop and maintain rapport with other departments to ensure daily activities run smoothly.
• Prepare activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs.
• Follow the care plan when providing daily activities for residents.
• Purchase department supplies and personal items for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Oversee residents engaged in scheduled activities.
