Job summary

You will assist with organizing and implementing activities, promote events to residents and families, and support well-being across cognitive and physical abilities.

This role requires empathy, good communication and a high school diploma; prior experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience as activity assistant.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferred.
• Empathy and care for those that need help.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical and creative expressions.
• Assist with the organizing, planning and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being.
• Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents.
• Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities.
• Interact with families and visitors of our residents.
