Job summary

Citadel Healthcare is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to join The Citadel at Saint Anne Place team. Under supervision, you will assist in planning, implementing and evaluating recreational programs tailored to resident needs and care plans.

You will support residents in participating in activities, accompany them to programs, and communicate with families and staff. A high school diploma and healthcare experience are preferred, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role.
• At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet the residents' needs and interests.
• Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
• Maintains good rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
• Provides input to the assessment and evaluation of the resident’s participation when requested.
• Communicates a resident’s concerns and responses to interventions to the immediate supervisor.
• Supports a resident’s individual needs, preferences, routines and choices.
• All other duties, as assigned.
