Job summary

Berkshire Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in West Babylon, NY is seeking an experienced Recreation Supervisor to join our Recreation Department. This leadership role focuses on enriching residents' quality of life through engaging programs and meaningful interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing home setting or recreational program within the past 5 years.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operation and supervision of the Recreation Department.
• Assume departmental leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Recreation Director.
• Plan, assign, and facilitate group activities and individualized 1:1 resident programs.
• Complete MDS assessments, care plans, new admission evaluations, quarterly reviews, and significant change assessments accurately and within required timeframes.
• Monitor resident participation and report concerns, changes, or issues to the Recreation Director.
• Provide support and coverage for Recreation Leaders as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all facility and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
