Job summary

Highland Care Center in New York is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to coordinate in-room activities and 1:1 visits, build monthly calendars, and participate in care plan meetings. The role focuses on developing and implementing therapeutic activities and coordinating event support for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience.
• Knowledge of aging process and various resident activities.
• Ability to assume leadership role in absence of Director.
• Be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-room activities and 1:1 visits for residents.
• Create a monthly activity calendar.
• Attend care plan meetings.
• Develop, organize and implement activities to meet residents' therapeutic needs.
• Coordinate assistance for events as necessary.
