Job summary

Kadima Healthcare in Washington is seeking an Activities Assistant for our Skilled Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility. You will support planning, organizing, and implementing recreational, social, and educational activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

You will encourage participation, help run events, transport residents as needed, and collaborate with the Activities Director and care team to create a safe, engaging environment for aging adults.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting aging adults in recreational or activity programs.
• Ability to plan and conduct daily activity schedules.
• Strong communication and teamwork with care staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting daily activity programs.
• Encourage participation in group and individual activities.
• Organize events, celebrations, outings, and entertainment.
• Transport residents to activity areas as needed.
• Set up and clean activity rooms and materials.
• Maintain calendars and attendance records.
• Visit residents unable to attend group activities.
• Support volunteers and family participants.
• Communicate resident interests to the Activities Director.
• Ensure activities are conducted safely and respectfully.
• Follow facility policies and resident rights.
