Beaver Dam Health Care Center in Beaver Dam, WI is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Director to lead our Activities Department and craft programs that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being for residents. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, coordinate volunteers, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as an Activity Director or eligibility to obtain certification preferred.
• Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or senior services preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of regulations governing activity programming in long-term care.
• Experience with residents living with dementia preferred.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with residents, staff, volunteers, and families.

Mansioni

• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive activity program meeting residents' interests and needs.
• Complete resident activity assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate a monthly activity calendar including group, individual, evening, weekend, and holiday programming.
• Supervise and schedule Activity Department staff; mentor and train volunteers.
• Develop relationships with local entertainers, schools, churches, and community groups.
• Coordinate transportation and planning for community outings when appropriate.
• Maintain documentation of resident participation and progress per policy.
• Monitor changes in resident condition and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with regulations related to activity programming.
• Manage department budget and inventory; order supplies.
