Job summary

Cornell Care & Rehabilitation Center managed by Autumn Lake Healthcare at Union is seeking a compassionate Recreation Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging activities and programs.

You will facilitate arts and crafts, games, and outdoor events, adapting to residents' needs and collaborating with staff to document participation and outcomes. A high school diploma is required; healthcare experience is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare staffing and/or recreational programming is a strong plus.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.
• Adapt programs to meet the changing needs and abilities of our residents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive community.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care to our residents.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of recreational activities and resident participation.
