Job summary

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glen Hill in Danbury, CT seeks a compassionate Full-Time Recreation Assistant to enhance residents’ quality of life through planned recreational programs promoting socialization, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.

You will plan activities, adapt programs to residents’ changing needs, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure holistic care within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Proficiency in coordinating and implementing recreational activities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.

Job Summary

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glen Hill is seeking a compassionate and skilled Full-time Recreation Assistant to join our wonderful nursing team. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by planning and implementing recreational programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute recreational activities, including but not limited to arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities
• Adapt programs to meet the changing needs and abilities of our residents
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive community
• Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care to our residents
• Maintain accurate records and reports of recreational activities and resident participation
