Job summary

Encore Village is seeking a full-time Lifestyles Assistant to support activity programming at Briarwood and Reflections of Briarwood. The role operates Tuesday through Saturday under the Lifestyles Manager, facilitating programs and coordinating visits for residents.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (CNA preferred) and experience with senior activities, music, crafts, and religious programming. Strong computer and Word skills, plus excellent communication, are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; CNA preferred.
• Experience with seniors in activities preferred.
• Experience with music, crafts, activities, or religious programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, create, prepare, facilitate and execute activity programs and one-on-one visits with residents.
• Assist with daily life activities and engagement in Briarwood facilities.
• Maintain an engaging environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Provide diversional and therapeutic programs and interventions for residents.
• Assist with escorted trips or participation in events and holidays.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR system per facility policy.
• Communicate with supervisor, residents, and staff about activity-related needs.
• Supervise and mentor volunteers and provide feedback to Lifestyles Manager.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote resident participation.
• Contribute to monthly calendar and training compliance.
• Assist with equipment sanitation and program areas.
• Provide transport or guidance to residents and families for activities.
• Support Lifestyles functions through clerical tasks.
• Encourage participation with supplies and encouragement.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
