Job summary

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent with three years of relevant experience in social/human services or related setting.
• Bachelor's degree plus 18 months in Benefits Opportunity or related social/human services work.
• College credits may substitute for experience as described, with at least 18 months of relevant work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of about five staff handling vendor and NYCHA resident interaction for hiring and economic opportunities.
• Approve Section 3 and other resident hiring initiatives on NYCHA contracts and facilities.
• Participate in scoring/review committees for Real Estate Development projects related to resident outreach.
• Coordinate large-scale resident employment recruitment activities across NYCHA spaces and partner agencies.
• Engage residents, associations and stakeholders to communicate HUD Section 3 requirements and meet timelines.
• Ensure daily use of databases for accurate outcomes tracking and report generation on referrals.
• Lead team meetings and conduct weekly supervisor check-ins with staff.
• Provide post-training placement support for YouthBuild and related initiatives.
• Oversee SYEP initiatives in collaboration with DYCD and NYCHA facilities.
• Represent NYCHA and REES on citywide committees and external stakeholder meetings.
