Job summary

VOACC is seeking an Accountability Specialist to coordinate GPS monitoring for residents on home confinement and to support case managers in enforcing Bureau of Prisons Community Re-entry guidelines. The role involves unannounced visits, document management, and timely incident reporting to ensure compliance and safety.

The position requires strong communication, investigative skills, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, human services or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of counseling or supervising adult inmates in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Install GPS devices and monitor movement in home confinement and work sites.
• Coordinate with case managers to implement resident schedules per ACA/BOP guidelines.
• Conduct home visits, verify locations, and document contacts in resident files.
• Prepare incident reports and investigate deviations from authorized activities.
• Attend meetings and provide staff training; travel to sites for visits as needed.
