Job summary

Elderwood at Cheektowaga is seeking a full-time maintenance assistant for our plant operations team. This role supports resident safety and comfort through repairs and upkeep of buildings and furnishings. You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds tasks, including snow/ice removal, and may drive the company vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• On-call program may require off-hours work.
• Experience with basic hand tools and equipment operation.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Empathy and dependability with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and mechanical duties.
• Maintain grounds, driveways, and perform snow/ice removal.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety and privacy of residents and staff.
• Possess reliable attendance and on-call flexibility.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; participate in team meetings.
