Job summary

Legacy Nursing is seeking a housekeeping professional to perform cleaning and sanitizing for resident areas, common areas, and staff spaces. You will ensure safe chemical handling, stock supplies, and report maintenance issues to keep the facility in top condition.

The role emphasizes professional interaction with residents and families, while upholding HIPAA confidentiality. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, spill cleanup, assisting with basic equipment, and contributing to care planning

Responsibilities

• Housekeepers provide cleaning and sanitizing services for resident areas, common areas, and staff areas. The resident areas are the priority.
• Clean, sanitize, dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, and other facility areas.
• Ensure chemicals are used per manufacturer guidelines, properly labeled and stored.
• Lock and store cleaning tools safely after use.
• Stock paper supplies in restrooms and keep dispensers filled and working.
• Report maintenance issues as needed to supervisors.
• Clean up spills and messes as they arise, and unstop toilets when necessary.
• Contribute to resident care planning when applicable.
• Assist with batteries in remotes or plugging call lights/ beds back in.
• Act in a professional and positive manner representing the facility to the community.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and related regulations.
• Attend in-service training as required.
• Clock in/out for all working hours; no off-the-clock work.
