Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to join our team, preparing and cooking nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will contribute to delicious, well-presented meals and support resident dining experiences.

Responsibilities include following planned menus, maintaining food safety and sanitation, assisting with inventory, and delivering friendly, responsive service to residents and staff. Prior cooking experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude; communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 lbs; stand/bend/walk for extended periods.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean and orderly.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
