Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician to preserve the quality of our residential communities in Dyess, AR. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and respond to resident service requests to keep buildings safe and comfortable. This role requires 1–3 years’ maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to learn quickly.

EPA 608/Boiler certifications preferred; a valid driver's license is required. On-call rotation applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; graduate level.
• ,
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
• Ability to repair resident homes to company standards within time limits.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Certifications relevant to the region (EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) within 9 months of hire/promotion.
• Required training completed within one year of hire/promotion date.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for general property upkeep, HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems; perform inspections and repairs.
• Enforce safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
