Job summary

American Campus Communities at The Callaway House Austin is seeking a Property Manager to lead leasing, marketing, and facilities operations at a ACC student housing community. You will drive resident experience, revenue, and operations while mentoring a diverse team.

You will recruit and develop staff, partner with university teams, manage budgets, and advocate for capital improvements to maximize asset value and ensure safety and quality standards across the community.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ of leadership experience in student or multi-family housing, or similar industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field preferred.
• Skills in leasing and marketing, customer service, facility management, budgeting, supervision, business administration, public relations, residence life, and a combination of business and student development skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive leasing, marketing, and facilities operations strategies to meet ACC standards.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, train, coach and develop direct reports; foster a positive workplace.
• Conduct performance evaluations and development discussions with team members.
• Collaborate with HR on compensation adjustments for direct reports.
• Ensure well-executed leasing, marketing, and facilities operations with actionable plans.
• Oversee maintenance, capital improvements, and asset value maximization.
• Manage Resident Experience Manager to ensure effective communications and operations; oversee collections as applicable.
• Attend resident events and resolve escalated resident concerns.
• Direct property performance to budget, maximizing revenue and controlling costs.
• Lead internal communications and safety policies; coordinate with university partners.
• Partner with HR, Facilities, and Retail support to clear roadblocks for teams.
• Maintain key control oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
