Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year related experience preferred in wellness, fitness or recreational therapy in senior living, or Buckner training.
• Requires proficient working knowledge of aging and senior living.
• Requires ability to organize activities and work with other departments and/or units to implement the activities.
• Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.
• A friendly attitude and a servant's heart.

Responsibilities

• Survey residents and interview them to determine interests and satisfaction with programs.
• Develop and implement activities for residents, respecting individuality, diversity, and spirituality.
• Provide activities in a setting that promotes rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality.
• Provide individualized attention to help residents maintain or attain the highest practical wellbeing.
• Assist in coordinating activities and programs including games, reading, listening, and community involvement.
