Job summary

Dodge County is seeking a healthcare assistant to provide meaningful activities for residents and assist with personal cares. The role includes planning programs, coordinating transport, and supporting daily living in a caregiver team.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers a starting wage of $19.32/hr, plus a $3.00 weekend differential, and a comprehensive benefits package with PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18+.
• Experience with geriatric, chronic mentally ill, or developmental disabilities populations preferred.
• Must pass caregiver and criminal background checks; CPR/First Aid certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in resident activities, coordinate events and transport.
• Assist with personal cares, mobility, nutrition and daily living tasks.
• Document attendance, meal intake, and care notes; report changes to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe household environment and assist with training new staff.
