Job summary

Psomas is seeking a Resident Engineer for the Construction Management Team in Northern California, Sacramento region and Roseville area. You’ll lead day-to-day field activities, manage contract administration, and keep teams aligned from pre-construction through closeout.

As an owner's representative, you will coordinate with clients and subconsultants, ensuring safety and quality on roads, water, bridges and capital projects while supporting pursuit efforts for CM opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in construction management for public works or heavy civil projects.
• Knowledge of contract documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam; ability to learn CM software.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field activities and contract administration.
• Coordinate with clients, owners, inspectors, and contractors; lead project meetings.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance on site.
• Review schedules, change orders and field documentation.
• Support project closeout and records management.
