Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in El Paso, TX seeks a Resident Engineer to plan and coordinate construction observation, testing, and reporting activities, and to oversee field staff and documentation of progress.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, 15 years of design and construction experience, and TXDOT exposure. Compensation is $180k-$210k per year with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Fifteen years experience with Bachelor's in a combination of engineering design and construction/construction observation activities, including management and supervision of field personnel.
• P.E. License required. TXDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize the administration and coordination of construction observation and reporting activities.
• Direct subordinate staff involved in observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work progress.
• Report project cost and quality control activities to client.
• Provide financial management of construction office operations, monitoring costs and expenses, approving and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.
• Coordinate construction monitoring with client program manager to resolve problems, disputes and scheduling of work, and to prepare contract changes and supplemental agreements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

About you

Expected compensation range is between $180,000 - $210,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
