Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Resident Engineer for the Civil/Geotechnical Construction Services Group.

The role involves applying academic knowledge to projects including design, permitting, and construction of civil infrastructure, foundations, and water containment systems. You will perform geotechnical investigations, instrumentation, slope stability analysis, stormwater design, QA, and contribute to proposals while traveling to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil and/or geotechnical engineering is required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Advanced degree in the same field is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of engineering consulting experience is required

Responsabilités

• Scoping, costing and overseeing geotechnical investigations
• Designing subsurface improvements and foundation recommendations
• Preparing plans and reports for heavy civil construction projects
• Performing engineering calculations and reviews
• Reviewing submittals, RFIs and change orders
• Participating in solid waste facility design and permitting
• Conducting dam, reservoir, and levee inspections
• Leading proposals for engineering and construction services
• Travel to client or project sites as needed
