Job summary

Geosyntec in the United States seeks an Early-Career Geotechnical Engineer for its Atlanta or Kennesaw, GA office (also Austin, TX or Birmingham, AL). You will apply academic knowledge to real-world projects including site characterization, soil and rock mechanics, and foundation design.

Join a national engineering firm known for technical leadership and client service; you will conduct field investigations, perform analyses, and contribute to reports while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in one of those fields (preferred).
• Research experience in geotechnical engineering, geomechanics, numerical modeling, earthquake engineering, foundations, dams, levees, or related disciplines (preferred).
• Experience with geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS (preferred).
• Occasional field work and overnight travel (required).
• Health & safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (strongly preferred).
