Job summary

TYLin's Rockaway office is looking for a Resident Engineer to play a key role in driving our construction projects forward. In this exciting opportunity, you'll help expand our PMCM group by building client relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering excellence on existing contracts throughout Central New Jersey and the Northeast region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required with a PE or NICET IV.
• Experience managing projects for NJ agencies such as NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Transit and PANYNJ preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Resident Engineer on local highway and bridge transportation projects.
• Coordinate closely with agency/owner, contractor, utilities and other stakeholders as required.
• Implement project management, construction engineering and inspection safety procedures.
• Follow Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.
• Identify and hire PMCM personnel and provide direction to PMCM staff.
• Position the company for construction management contracts as a prime or major part of a strategic team.
• Collaborate with marketing production staff to respond to RFPs and SOQs.
• Manage one or more construction management and construction inspection projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $135,000 - $174,000 annually for this position and local market.
