Job summary

The Gardens at Easton in Easton, PA is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to enrich residents' daily lives by organizing engaging programs under the direction of the Activities Director.

You will assist residents with daily activities, plan and support events, keep records of participation, deliver mail, escort residents to programs, and help with crafts, newsletters, and fundraising efforts. A positive, compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly or disabled is highly desirable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily activities such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote.
• Planning, coordinating, and supporting activities that provide entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and opportunities for creative expression.
• Keeping accurate records of resident progress and activity participation.
• Delivering mail, escorting residents to programs, and assisting with facility care, including plant maintenance and pet/fish care.
• Creating newsletters, supporting fundraising efforts, and managing morning announcements.
• Providing craft supplies and supervision for residents during creative projects, encouraging engagement in crafts, painting, and other hobbies.
